Save the date: CENT-R seminar
Friday January 31, 2019
9 am to 12.30 pm
De Kuip stadium, Rotterdam

The City of Rotterdam and Lightwell will launch a pilot with three CENT-Rs on Friday 31 January, a multifunctional and modular system that will offer a platform for various smart city applications, charging systems and public lighting in the city. How does the CENT-R, as an object in the outdoor space, contribute to cooperation between government, business, knowledge institutions and residents? During the CENT-R seminar that takes place on Friday morning 31 January in the Rotterdamse Kuip, we dive into the depths. CENT-R stands for Connective Energy Network Tool – Rotterdam. The CENT-R can be equipped with all kinds of smart city applications and can be continuously adapted to needs and new applications thanks to the modular design. During the seminar we examine which future scenarios are conceivable thanks to the modularity of the design. What opportunities and consequences are there for different providers of smart city applications and the management of public lighting? How do we involve the residents in this process? How do you organize all this as a government? We continue to focus on themes such as 5G, the electric charging of the future, the role of public lighting, network operators and the governance aspects of smart city applications.
